October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Our staff wore pink on Wednesday this week to bring awareness to breast cancer. This was a fun way to promote awareness and start a conversation with our patients about the importance of screening mammograms.
Other than skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer among American women. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early, when it is easier to treat and before it is big enough to feel or cause symptoms.
