How It Works:

Scheduling:
Your student’s school will schedule a date for the Mobile Dental Clinic and notify parents with information and consent forms sent home or posted online. Parents can sign up through the school or by contacting NEW Health at (509) 935-6004, option #2 for Dental. All paperwork must be completed, signed, and returned prior to any treatment.

Mobile Clinic Day:
A school staff member will walk your child to the Mobile Dental Clinic, parked right outside the school. During their visit, they can get a dental exam, cleaning, and x-rays, all without leaving campus.

All services are provided on-site during the school day.

After the Visit:
Our dental team provides follow-up support for families, including assistance with referrals and scheduling follow-up treatments at our local clinics.

Contact Us:
If you have questions or would like to sign your child up for dental services, please contact your student’s school office or call NEW Health at (509) 935-6004 and press #2 for dental.

We’re proud to support healthy smiles — right where kids need us most!

Why Oral Health Matters:

Poor oral health can lead to pain, difficulty eating, sleep disturbances, and difficulty concentrating, all of which can affect a child's ability to learn. By identifying and addressing these issues, we help students stay healthy, engaged, and ready to learn.

Improving Oral Health Outcomes:
Our school-based dental program is designed to support long-term oral health by focusing on prevention, early care, and follow-up

  • Preventive Care: Services like cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants help prevent cavities and gum disease.
  • Early Intervention: Early detection and treatment of dental problems can prevent more serious and costly issues.
  • Referrals: We identify and refer students to specialized dental care if needed, ensuring they receive the treatment they need.

Impact on Students:

Good oral health supports success in and out of the classroom:

  • Improved School Attendance: Addressing oral health issues can reduce school absences and improve attendance rates.
  • Enhanced Learning: Students free from pain or distracting oral health problems are more likely to focus on their studies.
  • Better Overall Health: Oral health is linked to overall health, and improved oral hygiene contributes to better overall well-being.
