Apple Health Update: Make Sure Your Information Is Current

Many changes are coming to Apple Health (Medicaid) that may affect some members beginning in late 2026 and 2027. These changes are the result of new federal requirements, and additional details will continue to be released in the coming months.

The most important step you can take today is to make sure your:

  • Mailing address is current
  • Phone number is up to date
  • Email address is correct

Keeping your information updated will help ensure you
receive important notices about your health coverage and
any actions that may be needed in the future.

Some of the upcoming changes may include:

  • More frequent eligibility renewals
  • New eligibility and work requirements for some adults
  • Changes to certain coverage rules and benefits
  • If changes affect your coverage, you'll receive official information from Health Care Authority (HCA) and your individual plan with instructions about next steps and other health coverage options that may be available.

Open Enrollment is your opportunity to enroll in, renew, or make changes to your health insurance coverage through Washington Healthplanfinder.

Open Enrollment runs from November 1 through January 15. Patients who are no longer eligible for Apple Health may also be able to enroll in a health plan through Washington Healthplanfinder.
