On May 21st, 2024, NEW Health Newport held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its state-of-the-art medical and dental facility. A huge thank you to the Newport community members and supporters for joining us to celebrate!
Desiree Sweeney, NEW Health’s CEO, led the ribbon cutting ceremony and was joined by guest speakers including State Senator Shelly Short and Jake Abbott with the Greater Newport Area Chamber of Commerce.
Music from local musicians Popeye Rose Social Club filled the air as guests explored the new facility. The two-story building offers a welcoming environment with spacious medical exam rooms and dental operatories, behavioral health spaces, and a convenient on-site pharmacy.
NEW Health bridges Newport’s dental care gap integrated on-site with medical care, serving all residents with or without insurance including those with Medicaid and Medicare. Our commitment extends to training the next generation with on-the-job Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, and Dental Assistant career programs.
We are grateful for the support of local residents and look forward to continuing to serve the greater-Newport community for many years to come.
100% of the proceeds of your donations stay at NEW Health to help us continue to provide healthcare services to residents of our communities.
